Tryfan North Ridge

As an area of high pressure currently dominates over the UK, I decided to make the most of the settled conditions and climb the North Ridge of Tryfan.

I began at the main stile below Tryfan and finished on the summit, at Adam and Eve, with a time of 43 minutes and 26 seconds. It was not a personal best time, which is currently 38 minutes and 47 seconds, but it was satisfactory for the conditions on the day, as there was occasional rime ice and verglas when nearing the summit.

It was a great contrast relative to a few weeks earlier when the mountains of Snowdonia had a heavy covering of snow and ice.
